Internet radio is available in over 100 countries, with over 10,000 radio stations. The English radio station BBC boasts over 6 million listeners per month. It is estimated that over 150 million users tune in to listen to internet radio, and that this number is growing.

Target Audience

Over 1.5 million Arabs live in Israel, of whom 55% of between the ages of 16 and 45, and are familiar with the Internet.  At present many listeners tune in to one of two traditional radio stations – Radio A-Shams and Kol Israel, however a significant portion of the younger population do not tune in to these stations. They present a potential audience, for a specialized radio station with focused programs.
