Internet radio is available in over 100 countries, with over 10,000 radio stations. The English radio station BBC boasts over 6 million listeners per month. It is estimated that over 150 million users tune in to listen to internet radio, and that this number is growing.
Over 1.5 million Arabs live in Israel, of whom 55% of between the ages of 16 and 45, and are familiar with the Internet.
